This morning I was kissing Cade’s sweet, sleepy little warm face, saying, “Good morning, Buddy! I love you, love you, love you, love you, love you!!”
Without even opening either of his eyes, he said, “Mom. Mom. I think we’ve established that.”
But precisely because I’m his mom, I can’t go a day without repeating myself. I love that little boy–even on days that he glares and stomps and groans and doesn’t want to get out of bed. I love him. I love him!
But my love as a mother is only a penny’s worth compared to the immense treasure of God’s love for his children. He says, “I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore I have continued my faithfulness to you.” (Jer. 31:3) Now that’s established!
