Have you ever wondered why everything seems to work against you? Why does the basement flood and the attic have carpenter ants? Why does the computer crash and the electric bill spike? Could it be that you—as a human—are experiencing the effects of a cosmic war?
This story in Genesis 3 is explaining why things are the way they are. Why everything is bent and broken and dying. God is giving us the answers, as he speaks to Adam about the consequences for his decision to sin.
